Take A Rest!

And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. Mark 6:31 KJV

To have so much going on can make us feel like we don’t know if we are coming or going.

There is nothing better than to be able to sit back and relax after a hard days work.

Breathing exercises are one of the simplest relaxation strategies.

It is one the most effective ways to aid in calming your stressed-out body and mind anywhere at any time.

We see in today’s scripture that Jesus prescribed time off for His tired disciples after they returned from a prolonged period of ministry.

It really stared in the Old Testament.

God set the pattern for us in Genesis 2:3, when He rested from all His work.

We should take His example seriously.

If God took the time to rest, we should too.

Setting aside a time to relax physically helps us renew ourselves both emotionally and spiritually.

That is how we will be at our best for the Lord.

Remember He has commanded us to this.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, most of us get run down because we don’t take the time to rest. If our bodies, minds, and spirit are to function at their best, we know do as the Father did and take some time to rest. May we all take heed and do this.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
