Silence can be powerful.
It gives us the ability to look at our situation and determine how we are going to react.
Will it make it better or worse?
Even the foolish know when to keep quiet.
Sometimes it is better to be quiet than to speak abruptly.
Especially when the person or persons we are dealing with have strong feelings like sorrow, fear or anger.
When we “hold our tongue”, be silent, and listen, our minds are of a good temper.
Smart is the person who is slow to speak, listen and learn to become wise.
When we take control over what we speak,
it is not hard to use the wisdom God gives us to respond the right way.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, help us to listen to You. Help us to receive Your Word. Giving us the ability to listen to others and not speak foolishly. Thank You for the wisdom You teach us regarding our quietness.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
