Many of us know what it means to pray but do we really understand what praying means.
Prayer is a solemn request for help, or an expression of thanks addressed to God.
Prayer is also an object of worship.
We cannot grow without praying. That is where our transformation can occur (Luke 9:29).
Our prayers should be earnest and humble. They should be a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God. (Philippians 4:6)
When we speak to the Father, according to His Word, He hears us and will do for us because we did it in a favorable manner.
Prayer is the best way for us to be set free from the bondage of sin and the wars we face in our lives. Pray is our way to ask God to help us remain on the right path.
We must always remember what the Lord told us about prayer in Luke.
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1).
Nothing we do in life can be done properly, unless we persevere in sincere prayer, and watch therein with thanksgiving.
We can be encouraged whenever we pray to know that the Lord hears and welcomes our prayers.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, help us to continue to come to You in prayer. That we follow Your ways. Trusting and watching in the same with thanksgiving. Remembering James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Thank You that no request we make is too small or too large for You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
