Mastering Life’s Trials

With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. Job 12:13 KJV

In life we will face many trials.

They can be difficult experiences, problems, or situations that tests our ability or power to endure.

It can be an unpleasant or difficult process, but we must be strong, without giving way.

It is a test of our ability to remain patient and self-controlled.

We won’t always understand why we are going through these trials, but we should know that the Lord is on our side.

He provides us with the tools we need.

Tools that give us the wisdom and strength.

This tool is the Word.

Through our reading and listening to it, He is there to counsel us and give us the understanding needed to make it through any situation.

Just like He did for Job.

Job is someone that is an example of how we can go through many extremely unpleasant things, keep our faith in God and make it through.

He gives many instances of God’s powerful management of the children of men.

That His help in understanding how to overrule all their counsels that were not of Him and how we can overcome all their oppositions.

In this chapter, Job’s account of his sufferings may not tell us why God allowed it to be.

What we do know is that despite everything that was happening, he was able to say with confidence:

“With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding” (v.13).

Meaning that we can obtain all the strength and wisdom God desires to give us.

We may not understand why God allows certain situations in our lives, but like Job and many others, we can put our trust in Him.

God knows how to make use, even of those who are foolish and bad, to help counsel us and give us this understanding.

There is something to be learned in everything we go through.

The Lord loves us and has us in His hands.

He doesn’t desire any harm to us, His children.

All wisdom, power and understanding comes from Him.

What struggles are you going through?

How has it helped you to know that God is with you, through it all?

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we put our trust in You. Without it, there would be so little wisdom and so little honesty in the world. The world would be in an even worse state of confusion and ruin. All our strength is in You. Thank You for holding us in You loving hands, even when we do not understand what You are doing.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
