“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
A phrase that many of us have heard.
Beauty is seen in different ways, by all of us.
We usually look at it as dealing with physical beauty, but it also applies to anything that someone else may see as perfect and desirable.
It is influenced by our personal feelings or opinions.
What I see as beautiful, you may not.
What you see as beautiful, I may not.
The same holds true when we look at the world and the things around us.
Many things in life are beautiful.
Everything is as God made it.
We all are beautiful in our own way.
The things in nature have a beauty of their own too.
They were created to give us an atmosphere that brings peace.
God provided us with them all to relieve the burdens that life can bring.
There will still be some days when life seems to lack brightness and we think we are not capable of having a productive day.
Those are the times we need to look at all the beauty that God has mercifully provided for us.
A child’s smiling face, a friendly hello, the beauty of a beach or body of water in a park, the many creatures we see and even the many creations of art.
Even the thought of the beauty and blessings that will be when we reach our heavenly home.
Seeing such beauty can only make us thankful to God for all He has done and the eternity to come.
Let us not be so taken up with the opinions of the world, the thoughts and cares of worldly things, but take time today to pause and enjoy the glorious things all around us.

Be a “beholder.”
The one that sees God’s hand in the beauty to be found in all things.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, help us take a moment today to see and enjoy the beauty that You bring to our lives. The beauty that can be seen in all things created by You for our pleasure. Knowing that there is even more beauty to be found as we look forward to eternity.
