Pressing On

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 KJV

The Apostle Paul was just like an Olympian runner. He was totally focused on the race, the goal, and the finish line in his journey of faith.

He did not turn back to dwell on his failures.

Forgetting what was behind, Paul presses forward determined to make the final victory lap. That’s where he would see the face of Jesus Christ.

He had an earnest desire to be found in Christ and be an example to other believers to press on toward perfection.

That should be our goal.

To run the race, not letting past situations keep us from our goal. Knowing that at the finish line we would see the face of Jesus.

Eternal life is the gift of God, but it is in Christ Jesus; through His hand it must come to us. There is no getting to Heaven as our home, but by Christ as our Way.

This is another day that the He has made. Let us keep pressing towards the mark, so our bodies and souls may be used as instruments of righteousness in the service of our Almighty God.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, thank You for providing us with the strength we need to continue to press on, even in the face of difficulty. Thank You that You are always there for us. May our relationship with You continue to grow.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
