All of us love when we can get something for free. We just must go get it.
God has such a gift for us. It is eternal life. A gift ready to be received by everyone.
Jesus is that gift. He died to rescue us from our sins and to reconcile us with God. He rose from the grave and is with us now. Because of this, every wrong we have done can be forgiven. Giving us new life.
God’s eternal love and good-will towards us, is the fountain from whence all His mercies flow.
The love of God is great love, His mercy is rich mercy, and every converted sinner is a saved sinner; delivered from sin and wrath.
The grace that saves is the free, undeserved goodness and favor of God.
God saves, not by the works of the law, but through faith in Christ Jesus.
Grace in the soul is a new life in the soul. A regenerated sinner becomes a living soul.
A Grace that allows us to live a life of holiness.
The goodness of God in converting and saving sinners should cause us to encourage others to hope in His grace and mercy.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know our faith, our conversion, and our eternal salvation are not of works of anything we have done. They are all the free gifts of God, and the effect of being quickened by His power. It was His purpose to prepare us, by blessing us with the knowledge of His will. That the Holy Spirit would produce such a change in us, that we should glorify the Father by our good conversation, and perseverance in holiness. Thank You for the gifts.
