Though the world around us seems to be crumbling, sin and wrongdoings seem to be at an all-time high, God may seem far away, but He is not.
David struggled with, and was triumphant over a strong temptation to distrust God. He, in a time of danger, caused himself to take the best means necessary for his own safety. He put his trust in God.
Even though things may be crumbling down around us, those that truly fear God and serve Him, are encouraged to put their trust in Him, just like David did.
Our foundation is the heavenly wisdom that the Lord grants us through the Word.
The foundation on which the faith and hope of the righteous are built.
A foundation that allows us to remain steadfast against all temptations to unbelief.
We would be undone, if we didn’t have God to go to.
No matter what the world says, God is still in control. He is keeping His eye on things and will have the last word.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, We must hasten to the cross and let our souls be carried, by the Word, through all our difficulties and concerns. It is a firm foundation that cannot be destroyed unless we let it. And this can only happen if we loose our Faith and Trust in God. When this world around is is crumbling, let us remember that God is the Rock on which we can stand. He is our firm foundation.
