PONDER TIME

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
 Luke 2:19 KJV

We all have had times when we sit back and reflect on things from our childhood to our present state of being.  They are heartfelt moments. Moments that  we should be giving God the glory and praise for all He has done for us.  For how far He has brought us.

For His goodwill in sending Jesus to save us all.

That’s what Mary did. She took the time to think about Jesus, her son, and all the things that had been declared about Him by the angels and shepherds.  The peace and goodness He was to bring to the world. How He was fulfilling  them. How people would receive Him.

We need to be observant of the things around us. Reflect on the things of the day.  Did I do all that I  could? Was there something I could have done better? Did I judge too quickly?  Did I make the right sacrifice?

That is where knowing the Lord is so important.  He was born to direct our paths, no matter our situation.

Meditate on the Word. It is there to strengthen, to encourage, and to keep us close to the Lord.

Take time to “ponder”.  You will be amazed at all the things God has done for us through Jesus.  The faithfulness that will never end.

A WORD OF PRAYER

God we thank you for the sacrifices made by Jesus.  We thank you for the example of Mary to remind us that it is good to ponder about the things you had predestined for our lives, how far you have brought us, and how we must keep striving to reach our true destiny. We will meditate on Your Word and increase in faith.

In Jesus Name, Amen
