Read: Matthew 6:25-34
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 KJV
Worrying about what tomorrow brings is just one of our human downfalls.
As things begin to happen, we need to make it a point to pray before doing anything.
The Father already knows about the troubles we face.
He has the ultimate plan for our lives.
Listening and doing those things that please God is our best solution.
Jesus proclaimed this in His Sermon on the Mount.
He knew all about how we waste our time worrying about the little things that seem so urgent.
They only bring us undo stress.
We should really be focusing on the big things that have eternal value.
That would be our trust in the Lord.
Jesus gave great warning to the disciples of how the sin of worrying can take away the peace and tranquility they should have.
That worry keeps them from staying focused on the mission He has for their lives.
That lacking faith becomes a part of their lives.
The Words He spoke to them hold true to our lives also.
We are not to worry because our Heavenly Father knows about everything that we need (Matthew 6:32 KJV).
We are not to let it hinder the faith we have in Him.
He is our main source of wisdom and strength.
He is constantly reminding us to “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33 KJV).
It is His will and command that by daily prayers we may always find the strength we need to handle any of our daily struggles.
Always there to arm us against any temptations that come our way.
By faith we will proclaim that we will remain “steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV).
We always have the victory through Him (1 Corinthians 15:57 KJV).
Happiness will always be found in those who give their lives to Christ and put their trust in Him.
Today, vow to stop worrying.
It only causes us more grief than good.
Take the time to read and trust in what the Word says.
By faith He will answer all our concerns.
There is nothing too great that the Father cannot handle.
We will have everything we need on earth.
With an even greater treasure waiting for us in Heaven.
Putting our trust in Him is the greatest thing we can do.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Putting our trust in God is the greatest thing we could ever do. He knows all about our struggles. He has the master plan for bringing us out of any situation. One that always brings a richness to our lives. Our prayer today, Father, is that we seek You first. That we continue to put our trust in You. Setting aside our way of thinking and letting Your Holy Spirit guide us. We are thankful that You are righteous in all Your ways.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
