Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 KJV
Wars and rumors of wars.
They are being talked about every day.
Many of them are occurring in the world right now.
A reason for our military to be prepared to defend and protect us.
Brave men and women always training to be prepared for any attacks that may come our way.
We know an attack can come at any time.
It is unfortunate when any nation is caught off guard and the enemy prevail.
Too many lives are lost.
As believers in Christ, we too can face similar tragedies.
Satan is always working on a plan of attack.
A plan that is powerful and deceiving.
He wants nothing more than to devour and destroy our souls.
Satan is looking to take out as many of us as He can.
But Satan’s plans of attack are no match to the Savior’s powerful plan.
That is why we must stay rooted in the Word.
The Father has given us what we need to fight any battle.
This is the main reason that the Apostle Paul is warning us to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8 KJV).
We never know when an attack may occur.
The Lord has told us that in this Christian journey, we would “endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3 KJV).
That they are challenges that help to make us ready.
Ready for any surprise attacks from our spiritual enemy.
The enemy is always trying to bring us down.
Attacking us physically and mentally.
We are in the service of the King.
Daily being trained in His ways.
He knows what we need to fight any battle.
He knows we must be on guard at all hours of the day.
By faith we have a firm ground to stand on.
Being steadfast and unmovable.
We will always come out victorious when we use the strategies found in the Word.
God has a plan for anything we face in life.
He has told us, “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11 KJV).
The best protection we will ever have.
God provides everything we need to fight the enemy.
The things that make it possible for us to serve another day.
Keep on guard and always trust in God’s Word.
It is the best weapon we have against the enemy.
It will always stand the test of time.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that Satan is always trying to put us in a position of battle. It is good to know that with You no matter the time of his attack we can always be prepared. If we remain steadfast in the Word our battles are already won. As one of Your soldiers let us always stay on guard. Nothing is a match to the power we find in You. Thank You Father.
