This Thick Cloud – The Best One with Guaranteed Results

Read: Philippians 3:7-16 / Luke 16:19-31

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee. Isaiah 44:22 KJV

Memories play a big part in our lives.

They allow us to recall past feelings, sights, sounds and experiences.

It is wonderful when our memories are blessings.

Ones that are full of comfort, assurance, and joy.

As we grow older, they are happy and satisfying.

This is because they remind us of how our lives were filled with faith, times of fellowship, purity, and love.

They help us to always remember the Lord’s promise, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5 KJV).”

Making our sunset years even sweeter.

But for some memories can also be a curse.

There will be some who approach the end of life wishing they could give all they had to change their lives.

To erase all memories of their past sins.

The ones that keep haunting them.

Let them take joy in knowing that there is still hope in freeing oneself from such a burden.

Every burden or sin can be taken to the Lord in prayer.

The One who is seated at the right hand of God, our Father, who is in Heaven (Hebrews 1:3, 12:2 KJV).

The One who can forgive and blot all of them out forever.

It is good to know that we may not be able to forget the things of our past, but the Lord has made a way for our forgiveness.

That God has told us, “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more” (Hebrews 10:17 KJV).

How wonderful it is to hear Him say, “I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee” (Isaiah 44:22 KJV).

Let us never forget that the best eraser of our sins is our honest confession to God.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, like the saints of old, it is in our best interest to return unto You. Letting the power of redemption work in our lives. No longer allowing sin to abound in our lives. A redemption that brings great hope to our lives. May we never forget that we can confess and bring all our burdens and sins to You. Thank You Lord for the many blessings You desire for us all.
