For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV
We all know that when we decided to walk in faith and live a Christ-centered life there were going to be times when we feel like we are carrying some type of load.
As Christians we are not exempt from problems.
We will always have times when the things we face will try to weigh us down.
There are many verses in the Bible where Paul’s indicate he was hard-pressed, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down.
In 2 Corinthians 11, he gives us an account of his labors, cares, suffering, dangers, and deliverance.
Reading all that he was going though is enough to make any of us wonder, “Why did God let such a load be placed on him?”
And the more you think about it you might say “It is a blessing that Paul made it through his struggles.
Then even begin to wonder, “What about the struggles I face?”
Those are the times we must be like Paul and keep our faith in God.
God allows some struggles to come into our lives.
Not to cause us harm or weaken us., but for the purpose of improving and strengthening us (2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV).
Every day, the trials we face are merely steppingstones used to help us rely on Him and Word.
To put our trust in Him and Him alone
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, there will always be times when our load seems heavy. Help us to remember that You are using those times to teach to us keep holding on to Your unchanging hand. Keeping us dependent on You. Building our character and helping to us become more like Jesus in all our ways. Thank You for taking the time to care enough to make us better.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
