And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. Genesis 37:23-24 KJV
Obstacles are things we face every day.
They block our way and prevent us from making progress.
Some we face end in an effective way and others that do not.
The good news is we all can overcome them.
With the Lord on our side, there should never be a time when a obstacle has victory.
Joseph faced many obstacles but was victorious in the end.
He was a young man that was hated by his brothers.
He was thrown in a pit and sold into slavery.
But that was not the end of it.
In Egypt he was falsely accused of making advances towards his employer’s wife and casted into prison.
Through it all, he did not let it hold him back and became a model for what it means to have courage.
How because of his faith and courage he overcame it all and rose to take the position of being the governor of Egypt.
That even more, while under God’s providence he was able to save his brothers.
Yes, the same ones who had treated him so badly.
Joseph is just one example of how despite the obstacles he faced, he kept holding on and did not let go of his faith.
All his circumstances were wonderfully turned to God’s praise.
Today, decree that you will let nothing stand in your way and keep you from holding strong in faith.
Knowing that God has a Divine purpose for your life.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, life is full of obstacles. There will always be something that tries to keep us from doing Your will. Those are the times when we should rest in the knowledge that You are with us through it all. That there is not a battle You cannot win. Thank You for the wisdom and knowledge freely given to us all.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
