No Time Lost – Understanding Every Moment is Revolutionary

Read: Job 7:1-6

My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope. Job 7:6 KJV

A “weaver’s shuttle” was something used by a weaver to make a piece of cloth.

A weaver who was skilled in this area was able to sling the shuttle back and forth at an eye-blurring speed.

The shuttle is said to be the fastest moving object.

That is what Job used to compare his life too.

It was how Job looked at all his troubles.

He was saying that this was how quickly his days were going by.

How man’s life is like a type of warfare.

Giving cause for him to lose hope.

His nights were becoming restless.

So much so, he began to wish for death.

Wanting to bring an end to it all.

He was looking at life like a poor servant.

The one that was tired of his work and longing for night to come so he could rest.

There will be times in our lives when we lose hope.

Times when we want things to come to an end.

We feel that the things in our lives are spinning too fast.

Just like Job, we need to remember that despite what we are going through, to continue to live unto the Lord, in all our works of faith and labors of love.

We want to spend as much time living according to the Word.

To be living for the Lord.

To keep moving forward.

When we do, we will always see the benefits.

He has told us, “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you” (Hosea 10:12 KJV).

Every man shall reap as he sowed, and wear as he has woven.

Let us strive to be the one that doesn’t waste time losing hope.

But to be the one who spends their time making sure what they wear in the end is one of glory.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we know that time is a gift from God given to each of us. A gift we should not take for granted. It passes by so quickly. Teach us to number our days and use them wisely. Knowing that how we spend our time determines how we will spend eternity. Let us make it our desire to spend it with You in the Kingdom called Heaven.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
