Powerful Must-Have: Being One of The Ones Mission Dedicated

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:1-11

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand. 1 Corinthians 15:1 KJV

Ask yourself these questions.

Do you really know what it means to be a missionary?

Have you pointed the lost to Jesus?

Have you told them about life everlasting?

We all can make this happen.

Missionary work is just one way we can teach others about Jesus Christ.

A way to tell others about the Christian faith.

Spreading the Word can take us to places both internationally and locally.

Setting aside our desires and acknowledging our first responsibility is to God.

The Lord knows exactly who needs faith, hope, and true guidance.

He has given us the ability to be the source that someone else needs.

And it doesn’t mean we have to be in the pulpit.

We are there to aid and assist the man or woman in that position.

The Apostle is one of many examples of someone who was a missionary.

One that was spreading the Word as the Lord had directed him to do.

He would go where the Lord directed him to go.

Preaching about the death and the resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15 KJV).

Addressing the issues and concerns of those to whom he was speaking.

Hoping that they were truly listening and receiving what the Lord wanted them to know.

Letting them know to remain “stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” and that nothing we do is done in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV).

Again, we know that everyone will not carry the title of Missionary, or as one preaching from the pulpit.

But we play a vital part in helping to spread the Word.

We know we can’t reach everyone on our own.

That is why He has ordained so many to assist in the effort.

We are to be a support to the many churches and organizations determined to complete this mission.

The ones that are really striving to use their God-given gifts and talents to help others.

God has ordained all of us to play a part in spreading the Word.

We all should be having a desire to bring lost souls to Christ.

To help all who listen live a life everlasting.

We should never forget how important being a missionary can be.

It is so rewarding to see even one person receive the Word.

To hear their testimonies of how it has changed their lives.

It doesn’t take a whole lot to tell someone about the Lord.

To show someone the same love and kindness He has shown us.

Let us be like the Apostle and spread the Word.

No sacrifice is too great to make the gospel known to those who never heard it.

To give a loving, refreshing touch to those who strayed from the Word.

It won’t always be easy.

But again, those are the times we remain steadfast in the Word.

Knowing how far it has brought us.

Knowing how much it has kept us.

Knowing that it will be so rewarding to see someone come to the Lord.

Seeing someone who was lost and gone astray, return to the Lord.

It is such a refreshing feeling.

One we should desire to have as much as possible.

Be the one willing to take the steps necessary to fulfill His mission.

A Word, a smile, a helping hand are just few ways.

Let today be the day you make the sacrifice.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we know we should all be on the mission of spreading the Word. We may not be in the pulpit, but we can tell all who will listen about the Bible. About You and what You mean to our lives. Whatever Your desire or will is internationally or locally, give us the wisdom and knowledge we need to accomplish it. Like You, our desire is to point others in Your direction. We want all that are lost to be found. Thank You for allowing us to be the one of the many able to help achieve this goal. We want all to live a peaceful and prosperous life through You.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
