Passing Through the Gate

Read:  Ephesians 2:1-10

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:6 KJV

The road leading on to any military base has what is known as a guard house.

To be allowed access to the base, you would have to be with someone who had previous clearance.

Their clearance would be a sticker on the windshield.

The sticker gives the guard the ability to wave them on through without making them stop.

If you did not have a sticker, you would have to stop at the guard house and go through the process of identifying yourself.

You would have to be found on their list before you could go any further.

This should make us think about how we are going to get into Heaven.

On our own, we wouldn’t stand a chance.

When we decide to trust in Jesus as our Savior, we become identified with Him.

All because we are in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6).

It is good to know we have free access to God’s favor in this life and the sure hope of entering Heaven’s glory (Ephesians 2:7).

We are to wonder no more how you will get to Heaven.

We are to put our trust in Christ.

He died on Calvary to pay the penalty for our sins, so that we could pass through Heaven’s gate.

He is the sticker in our lives that gives us the pass to make it in.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, none of us should have to wonder howe we will make it to Heaven. Jesus made it possible when He died on the cross for our sins. How wonderful it will be when we all sit together in the heavenly places with Him. We don’t know when the gates will be opened, but we know we want to be there to go in.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
