Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 18:19 KJV
We all have our own opinions and ideas.
There will be times when we get together and talk about them.
We agree to disagree, but in the end come to a positive solution.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always happen this way.
There can be someone in the group that desires to do things their way and does not want to listen to other suggestions.
Private and group conversations with them do not bring a positive result.
The project must move on with or without them.
The same holds true in our Spiritual lives.
We know what God desires for our lives.
There will be times when we know we should be doing things a certain way, but we find ourselves doing something else.
Friends and loved ones see it, talk to us about it and hope we listen.
During it all, they come together in prayer and ask the Lord to help in the situation.
The Lord has told us, “When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action” (Matthew 18:19 MSG).
Nothing happens in our lives that the Father is not aware of.
He sees and hears it all (Matthew 18:20).
Even more reason for us to go to Him in prayer.
Divine guidance is received when we pray.
The guidance we need to stay strong and hopeful that there will be a positive outcome.
Because “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [His] purpose” (Romans 8:28).
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all need to remember that prayer changes things (Philippians 4:6-7). It is an important part of our lives. That we need to continually come together and pray for one another. How we can watch and see You move in the lives of Your people. The changes You make in our lives. The strength and courage You provide. Thank You for being present in the midst of it all. We couldn’t make it without You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
