Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Daniel 6:10 KJV
No day is well spent when we have not spent some time talking with the Lord.
We find time to do quite a few things during the day.
We have no excuse for not spending time with the Lord.
There is nothing, by law, that says we cannot take the time to correspond with Him.
And even if there was, we are to be like Daniel.
King Darius favored Daniel and there were some who were envious of this.
He was tricked into signing a decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days shall be cast into the den of lions (Daniel t:7 KJV).
Daniel heard of the decree but was a man that “kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God (Daniel 6:10).
He did not change his routine despite the decree.
We too must establish a regular schedule of meeting the Lord in prayer.
It is in our best interest to check and see if there is a need to adjust our schedules and make it where we spend some quality time with the Lord.
Asking, “Have I taken any real time talking with the Lord today?”
Do you really have a set time to go before “the throne of grace” to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need? (Hebrews 4:16 KJV).
We are to let nothing stand in the way of our spending time with the Lord.
Prayer changes things.
Walking in faith is our comfort and our strength.
Take the time to talk to Him today.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, in these trying times let us not forget that our hope is in You. You hear our prayers no matter where we are, no matter the time of day. Souls are lost when we forget how important prayer is. Thank You for letting us come and talk with You. It is always time well spent.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
