Rescued

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luke 19:10 KJV

When we hear the word ‘lost’, we automatically think of an object physically being misplaced and we are looking for it.

But it goes deeper than that.

Lost also means the inability to find one’s way; not knowing one’s whereabouts.

Sin makes many lost.

Zaccheus is an example of one that was lost, heard that Jesus was coming and did all he could to see Him.

Those who sincerely desire a sight of Christ, like Zaccheus, will break through opposition, and take pains to see him.

When Christ comes, He opens the heart, and for our conversion to occur, it is up to us to receive Him.

Zaccheus gave proofs publicly that he had become a true convert. He was declared to be a happy man, now that he had turned from sin to God.

We can be saved from our sins, from the guilt of them, and from the power of them.

Christ desires to come to each of our houses, and where Christ comes, He brings salvation with Him. It is up to us to receive Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Thank You for knowing the value of souls, the weight of guilt, and how low it will press and sink mankind. May we come and cleanse our hearts by the Spirit, from all that destroys us and our relationship with You. May sinners, on every side, become attentive to the Words of truth and salvation.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
