The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 KJV
Wisdom and knowledge are something we should all strive to obtain.
We will all have situations that require us to make the best decisions.
The ones that will keep us headed in the right direction.
There will be times when we don’t like what we hear, but those are the times we need to step back, watch, wait and pray.
None of us want to find ourselves in a situation that causes us more harm than good.
The Lord desires that we are wise in all our ways.
In Proverbs, the lessons given are plain.
They are there to benefit all of us who recognize our own lack of knowledge and a need to be taught.
Those of us who are young in spirit, as well as those of us who are older, must take notice of our ways.
We all have our moments when we need a reminder of what we were told to do and how to do it.
The more we read Solomon’s Proverbs, the more knowledge we gain.
A knowledge that allows us to show good judgement in any situation.
Staying in the Word allows the Savior to speak to us.
Prayer is our way of constantly communicating with Him.
Christ is the Word and the Wisdom of God.
He desires to make us wise.
When we seek not after true wisdom, we are fools.
When we follow our own devices, we are doing it without regard to reason or a deep respect for God.
The One who truly knows what is best for us.
As His children, we are to be reasonable creatures.
Listening when He tells us what we must do and why we need to do it.
Knowing that, like with any disobedient child, we will find ourselves in trouble if we don’t listen.
We all should be desiring the best for one another.
Keeping each other in our prayers, hoping that all will be well.
Hoping that we all let the Divine truths and commands of the Word be what we truly follow in the end.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we all know that there comes a time when we all must make decisions. Life decisions that can be good or bad. We are striving not to make any foolish decisions. Help us to call out to You for the wisdom and knowledge that we need. We don’t want to be in a position that will cause us more harm than good.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
