1 Corinthians 13:2 KJV
With any recipes or dishes there is a list of ingredients and processes that we go through.
All in order to prepare them properly.
To miss putting in any of the ingredients or failing to follow the directions can cause the dish to not turn out the way we expected.
We want anyone who tastes it to say, “You put your foot in this.”
To mean we cooked it with extra love and care.
This applies to our everyday lifestyle.
Throughout the book of First Corinthians Paul admired the Corinthians for their skills and giftedness.
How the church was one of miracles and one that was changing lives.
Not to mention, the many success stories being told.
Stories of how the people were being enriched in knowledge and had many gifts.
But he also expressed a sharp disapproval because there was their lack of expressing love.
They were missing out on doing the one thing that should be a common courtesy.
We all know what it means to want to do good to others, but if it is done without love, it has no real meaning or value.
God is Love and He desires us to show it to one another in all we do.
Without the ingredient of “Love”, in the end nothing is well done.
Make sure to put it on your list.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, If we give away all we have, but withhold our hearts from You, we know we can never profit. Without using the ingredient of love You have shown us, we will never receive all the blessing You have for us. The recipe You have for our lives is excellent. All we need to do it follow it. May we all do so.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
