A fisherman usually has a favorite fishing spot. He wants to catch as many fish as he can. He wants the fish to take the bait without noticing the hook. That’s how he catches them.
Satan is a fisherman. We are the fish.
He uses whatever bait he can to attract us and get his hook in us. The real intent being to get us to go against God’s Word. Leading to a life of sin and grief.
Satan is a cunning deceiver. The author of lies.
We are not to be fooled by his tactics.
God is the True Fisher of men.
The Word attracts us and the glory of the Lord reels us in.
The big difference, this reeling in leads to a life of truth and happiness.
By this truth, the Will of God and salvation of the Lord is revealed.
Take the bait of God and no longer be reeled in by Satan nor fooled by his tactics.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, Satan is always trying to lure us into doing those things that are not right. He uses tactics so appealing that we don’t see all the trouble they can cause. Help us to know the difference and be caught up in Your Word.
