This is Why Choosing Your Destiny is Really Important

Read: Matthew 16:24-28

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 KJV

Some people want everything they can get no matter how they get it.

They wind up putting themselves in a position where their desires overtake them.

They begin to do things the wrong way.

We have to remember that when we do things like this, it is going against what the Father desires for us.

We are literally selling our souls and really gaining nothing.

Those are the times when we need to remember the question Jesus asked.

“What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26 KJV).

The answers we give the Savior today would differ only in the details.

They would still be based on the world, the flesh, and the devil.

They are things that have a hold on us.

They lead to behaviors that are out of control.

Ways that keep us from seeing what is more important.

Our focus should be on eternity.

Which is greater than anything we obtain while in the world.

Doing the right things brings true happiness.

Nothing on earth will ever compare to the gifts of God.

His love and forgiveness.

We have no need to struggle with making decisions based on the world.

The Father has control when it comes to our destiny.

We have all that we need in Him when we keep the faith and believe.

With His Divine guidance we can add great meaning to our lives.

Jesus really is the only thing we know will satisfy our souls.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, as true disciples of Christ, we are to follow Him in spirit and in truth. To walk in the same way as He did. Letting nothing take the place of the knowledge He gives regarding how we live. We should never forget the price He paid to wash away all our sins. To give us everything we need in life. Making it possible to live a life of righteousness. Thank You for making us see the significant importance of our souls and how to handle all our desires.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
