This is Why You Never Forget His Great Works

Read: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31

That no flesh should glory in his presence. 1 Corinthians 1:29 KJV

A masterpiece is any form of work done with extraordinary skills.

They are works of outstanding artistry and workmanship.

There is always something unique about them that can be seen.

We all have something that we can master in life.

There is something at which we are extremely good.

A gift that we should be determined to make positive use of.

Letting it be one that makes others seek to find theirs too.

That is the way the Savior works on us.

He is the Master of all things.

He wants us to show great workmanship and artistry in our spiritual lives.

We are to be serious about showing we are masterpieces of His glory.

That He is the Artist that has created the outstanding workmanship seen in us.

But we all know, there will be some that will live in a way that only draws attention to themselves.

No one should be in a position where our cars, our clothes, our social status, and other worldly things are used to draw attention to ourselves.

When we make life all about us, it becomes hard for others to see the Savior in us.

Self-worth was not to be the outcome when the Father created us.

We were made in His image to reflect His glory (Romans 8:29 KJV).

That is why Paul gave a warning to the believers in Corinth.

He told them “That no flesh should glory in his presence” (1 Corinthians 1:29 KJV).

They had gotten to the point where they were only thinking of themselves.

Trying to take the glory for all that they were doing.

He reminded them, “That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:31 KJV / Jeremiah 9:24 KJV).

That in all we do, the Lord deserves the credit as the Master of all things.

All of us should think of our lives as a canvas in which a picture is being painted.

We are all still a work in progress.

Desiring that the masterpiece being formed is one that shows we have the Savior in our lives.

Wanting all to know who the Master Artist is and the great progress He is making in our lives.

Knowing that there is excellent value to be placed on all He does.

His wisdom is always manifested.

By the Word and His Spirit, we gain the wisdom and knowledge we need.

Crafting us for every service to which we may be called.

That is why every one of us should be striving to use all the talents the Father has blessed us with.

They really do serve a purpose.

One that will only increase in value.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that You are the Potter and we are the clay. The Master Artist that knows exactly what we are to be in the end. We know that Your desire is to mold and make us a vessel that will be pleasing in Your sight. That when others see us, they can see the work of Your hands. Let us continue to remember to show we were wonderfully made and not try to change things or let sin overtake our lives. We are thankful for Your creativity, all-sufficient grace. For the love You have given and put into each of us.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
