Unlimited Forgiveness

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV

We have all been in a situation where we know we did something wrong.

We needed to tell somebody and to ask for forgiveness.

The same holds true in our spiritual lives.

As Christians, we know there are things in our lives we have done wrong.

We struggle with some things and behave badly.

Things that we are not proud of.

And even though the Lord already knows, we need to confess it unto Him.

We need to seek His forgiveness.

When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

With this confession we are cleansed from all unrighteousness.

Even though the power of sin was broken when Jesus died on the cross, it is still the devil’s way of trying to hinder our fellowship with the Father.

Try as he might, he cannot separate us from the love of God.

We should be thankful that the Lord is always forgiving us for our wrongs.

While it is never an excuse for continuing in a sinful behavior, know that sin does not mean we lost our faith.

Our faith makes it possible for us to repent,

When we do this, we recommit ourselves to the Lord.

Making a solemn promise to live according to the Word and make a new start.

It is great comfort to know of the Lord’s cleansing power and the forgiveness of God.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, Thank You that Christ died to pay the price for our sins and broke the power of sin in our lives. We confess that we have not walked in spirit and truth but have been tempted to follow the desires and cravings of our hearts. Thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive all our sins and to keep on cleansing us from unrighteousness.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
