Psalms 31:5 KJV
A pledge is like a promise.
It is a vow that we will do a particular thing.
It is a means of committing ourselves to something and ensuring we will be loyal and faithful to it.
A word of honor, giving us grounds to expect something to occur in our lives.
“Into thine hand I commit my spirit.”
Those were the words David spoke when he acknowledged that he knew something about the Lord’s amazing, caring hands.
He believed that the Lord could be trusted even when life got bumpy.
That is what we all should be determined to say. .
Even when life is uncomfortable and we are being targeted by unfriendly sources, we must not be without hope.
Because David had put his trust in the Lord, he could breathe a sigh of relief and rejoice because his faithful, loving God was his source of confidence.
That is what we should be doing.
Faith and prayer must go together.
We may find ourselves in a season of life when things are coming at us from every directions.
So much so, that it may be difficult to see what may be ahead of us.
Those are the times we must remember that our Lord Jesus yielded up His last breath on the cross and made His soul a free-will for our sins.
That He laid down His life as a ransom for us all.
While many of us think about our worldly affairs, and our cares multiply, our true concerns should be about the redemption of our souls.
We should be focusing on the one thing that is certain: those who are secure in the Lord are in amazing hands.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that every believer will meet with dangers and need deliverance from them. We are thankful that You can deliver us from them all. We just have to keep our faith and trust in You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
