You: A Guaranteed Instrument for a Grateful, Blessed Life

Read: Romans 6:1-16

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Romans 6:13 KJV

Temptations are all around us.

They lead us to times of struggle and a great deal of trouble.

Every one of us must stay routed and grounded in the Word to avoid the situations that will cause us to sin.

Not letting sin have dominion and rule over our lives.

The promises of God are more powerful than anything the world can offer.

That is why we must monitor our conversations, who we associate with, the things we watch or listen to, just to name a few.

They can cause us to go astray and forget what God desires for our lives.

Living according to the Word is our strongest motive against sin.

Our faith gives us the power to defeat anything that comes our way.

We must have a desire to break any unhealthy habits no matter how difficult it may seem.

Knowing that the reward for doing things the right way is far greater than anything we may obtain in earthly benefits at that moment.

They will not last.

His rewards are everlasting and worth so much more.

All our sinful ways can be broken when we live by the Word and keep the Lord as our prime example of how to live our lives.

The Holy Spirit is there to lead and guide us.

To warn us and help us know when we are heading the wrong way.

“Yield yourselves unto God” (Romans 6:13 KJV).

It is the wisest thing any of us can do.

There is no stronger motive against sin than the love that Christ has for us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that as believers we must die to sin and live for You. Help us to resist all temptations that come our way. Give us the strength and wisdom to step out in faith. We want to yield ourselves to Your will and Your way Father. We know that when we do, we will live the greatest life possible. We want to be instruments of Your righteousness.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
