A Desire for Overflow

Read: Romans 15:4-13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 KJV

To have an overflow simply means to fill a space to its capacity and see it spread beyond its limits.

The Apostle Paul paints the picture of living in the overflow when he describes how a people who are full of God’s Spirit has a hope that naturally flows out of them (Romans 15:13).

How they will be filled with goodness and all knowledge. That with this they can help one another (v.14).

Because of the Holy Spirit all doubts and fears no longer have a place in our lives.

On our own, we will never achieve this.

Living in the overflow means having enough to pay our tithes, give an offering, pay our bills, and still have a lot left over.

With the Lord we will have everything we need.

We will have a want for nothing.

Watching things continually change in our lives.

It is a blessing to picture being filled to the brim with joy, peace, and faith and watching it overflow.

All this is possible because of His presences in our lives and the faith we have in Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, there is an overabundance of blessings that are beneficial in our lives. They come when we are full of Your Spirit. So full that what pours out is the hope that others will notice, desire to receive and be blessed. To live in an overflow. Thank You for giving us joy and peace.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
