The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want. Proverbs 21:5 KJV

Good planning leads to good results.

It is important to look at all the options available and how they can be properly put into place.

The Lord desires to bless those plans that are carefully made.

He desires for us to use good judgment in all areas of our lives.

So with all that we do, we should include the Lord when we are in the thought process and pray about our decisions.

The Bible encourages us to use wisdom in all our planning.

Proverbs is just one example that contains many statements that counsel each of us to lay careful plans.

Jesus said, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?” (Luke 14;28).

The Lord is pleased when we truly take the time to think ahead, but He also wants to make sure our planning includes Him.

James even tell us  that, “ Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away” (James 4:14 ).

None of us can count on being alive 7 years from now or even tomorrow (Luke 12:20).

When we read and say “If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that ” (James 4:15), we are really acknowledging Him in our preparation for the future.

That is what is called wise planning.

Always remember, how God’s plans have always included us and we need to make sure our plans include God.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, no matter what we are planning for the day or the days ahead, let us remember to include You. Your guidance will always keep us from rushing into something, trying to get the results we want. When we listen to what You tell us, we can’t go wrong.Thank You for helping us plan wisely.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
