Parenting Made Easier

Read: Ephesians 6:1-9

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 KJV

Parenting is not only the raising of a child by the parents.

It is also the taking care of someone in the manner of a parent. To be a mentor.

A real parent desires to do anything that they can for their child.

They think more of a child’s well-being than their own.

The way a parent or mentor interacts and engages with a child determines how they learn and grow into remarkable adults.

It is a daily effort.

One that requires us to have someone to lean on when we have questions and concerns.

The Lord is the Master Teacher.

The One that we should go to for sound advice.

He desires that we all be good parents.

In the Word, He is showing and telling us how to bring our children up.

The ways to teach and chastise them using proper and compassionate correction.

Our success is only possible when we seek His help, rely on Him, and follow what He says.

Learning to maintain self-control and showing unconditional love.

Staying prayerful and following His lead.

He gives His blessing to the good lessons and examples that parents set for their children.

We were all children at one time.

We all had our moments. And still have some.

God is the one who can change the heart and how we conduct ourselves.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, we know that parenting isn’t always easy. Some type of discipline is indeed needed. You even must discipline us when it comes to the way we behave. As parents we must remember to put our feelings in check. To keep from saying things that causes more harm than good. Thank You for the knowledge You give us. It helps us to respond to our children with love and grace. To help them understand that we want the best for them. Prayerfully resulting in a positive outcome.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
