Master Temptation

Read: Hebrews 12:1-5 / John 14:15-24

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 KJV

With anything in life, we know there will be temptations.

We desire to do things the right way.

But there is something that is always trying to get us to go in the opposite direction.

We can defeat these temptations.

It can be done when we keep our eyes focused on moving forward.

Striving to do that which is right.

That is why we should stay focused on the Master’s face in our times of temptation.

God will not tempt us to do wrong (James 1:13 KJV).

He only wants to lead us in the right directions.

Our encounters with temptation will never have the victory if we keep our eyes fixed on the Savior.

When we become weary and faint in our minds, those are the times to remember that the Lord suffered temptations.

He overcame them with all victory in His Hands.

All for the purpose of saving us from eternal misery.

Let us continue to look to the Master, so our thoughts and the decisions we make will be able to strengthen us in holy afflictions.

Knowing that when we look to Him, He will keep us when we are presented with worldly desires.

He is the author and the finisher of our faith.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, even though the enemy strives to inflict sufferings upon us, let us not faint. You have Your hand in it all and there will always be a wise ending. All we must do is keep the faith and not give way to the sins placed before us. Knowing that the strength of Your grace will give us the victory. Thank You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
