During certain times of the year, some months are deemed to be hurricane season.
What this means is that the day might start off nice and sunny, but by the afternoon, there could be a sighting of forceful winds and rain off one of the coastlines.
Winds and rains that can cause much damage.
We all try to prepare for it.
We need a survival kit.
There are many organizations and news advocates that give us suggestions on what we need to survive the storm.
Where we can go if we need assistance.
The same holds true in our day to day lives.
Some people make the best of their situations, while others may need a helping hand.
We all do at some point.
Our day may start off good, but somewhere along the line, dark clouds may form and a storm hits.
Those are the times we have to think carefully about what we are going to do before making any decisions.
The Lord is the key to helping us adjust to any situation.
He is there to answer all our cries.
As the psalmist said, “He commands and raises the stormy wind” (107:25 NIV), and “He calms the storm” (v.29).
Bringing a calm to any and every situation we face.
A calm that causes all our trials to end in gladness.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know there will always be a season when a storm can hit our lives. Knowing that You are with us through it all is what will keep us calm. Thank You for guiding us through it all.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
