We have all been in a position where something, typically money, is owed or due. Sometimes we have a hard time repaying these kinds of debts.
It is a blessing when we can satisfy them or have them written off.
That is where another form of debt also comes in. It is a feeling of gratitude for the ability to do these things or be the recipient of such a favor.
The Savior, by dying on the cross, paid our debt. He made it possible for the pardoning of our sins and transgressions. Restoring us to the favor of God, who bestows good things on us.
The Scripture says a great deal about the mercy of God.
We all can experience it. All we must do is go to Him and ask.
The Father has pity on us when we are weak in knowledge and teaches us. He does this in all aspects of our lives. We must listen and learn.
Once we have submitted to Him and had our sins and transgressions forgiven, we are no longer defined by or limited by them.
In response to the Lord’s gift of forgiveness, we need to acknowledge all that He has done, with an offering of worship and thanksgiving.
Showing how grateful we are and sharing with others how He paid our debts and now we are free.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You that our greatest debt, caused by sin, has been erased. All because the Father sent You to pay for it all. May we continue to be obedient to the will of God.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
