A struggle with waiting is something we all have faced. Things are not always happening in the timeframe we want them too.
As believers, we too, struggle at times. But we know a true and better way to handle it.
Look at the people who received the message from the prophet Micah. They were struggling in their belief.
Micah had told them that out of Bethlehem would come a ruler over Israel. He told them this to encourage their faith in God. That the Lord would stand and lead his people in strength.
Everything didn’t happen all at once, which gave the people a reason to doubt, but things did begin to happen as Micah said.
The initial fulfillment of the prophecy came 700 years later, when Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The Lord died, was resurrected and it’s still not over. To this day we are still waiting, in hope, for His return.
Many of us don’t find waiting easy, but we can trust that God will honor what He says and will be with us throughout it all.
His presence is with us. His time is not like our time. Even as you read this message, and while we wait eagerly for His return, trust in the promises of God.
Upon this fulfillment, we the people of God will live securely. His Greatness will reach to the ends of the earth, and we will be forever happy.
Rejoicing because our long wait will be over.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know we struggle with waiting patiently for Your return. As we wait for God’s promises, may we continue to stand fast in the Word, believing that they will come true. Being assured of victory in our personal conflicts, as we depend upon the Lord for our salvation. Worshiping and serving You with diligence.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
