Psalms 122:1 KJV
It has always been glad-times to go to a relatives house for family gatherings.
A time to relax, reminiscing over old times, loving on the new additions to the family and remembering all of the blessings we had received.
Not to mention, all the good food and desserts we had.
We would even invite close friends and neighbors to have fun too.
Our church families are like this also.
We gather together, hear a Word from the Lord and reminisce on all He has brought us through.
Feasting on what God has prepared for us, enjoying the sweetness by the time it was all over.
A Word that was so inspiring that when the invitation to become a part of the family, many would come.
The best part, all are invited to come as they are, because the Lord doesn’t care about our background. He wants us to repent, find pleasure, peace, grace, love and guidance in the Word. To remain well fed and want for nothing.
When we fellowship together, it is a time to worship, praise and pray together as a community of God’s people, God’s family.
Make somebody glad today. Give them an open invitation to come to your church, to fellowship, worship, praise and pray to the Lord, along with others that have given their lives to Christ and those who had been there before and couldn’t wait to come back.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, there are many who do not have family gatherings. Many take great pleasure just to have someone invite them to something. Touch our hearts to invite someone to Your house of worship and show them how good it is to receive the Word and fellowship together. Prayerfully, they will feel the love and compassion, come again, join Your family and become one of Your children too.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen
