Running The Race

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 KJV

There are many Walkathons being held across the world for many reasons.

They can be to bring recognition to health issues, charitable organizations, even a workplace annual event promoting wellness.

Each one of these walkathons have a set distance and a set route.

Some people walk, while others run to finish the course.

For some, it can even be a personal battle and by faith they encourage themselves to press on, no matter how long it takes.

Some participate to get recognition and prizes.

The ultimate goal for all is to finish the course.

That’s what the Apostle Paul demonstrated in his life’s journey.

Being a Christian, and a minister, he kept the faith and the doctrines of the gospel. He ran the race and finished the course.

A prime example that we should exhibit our faith and our belief in the doctrines of the gospel till our dying days.  That, in the end, it can be said, we ran the race and finished the course.

Remember, whether we walk or run, we all should be striving to finish the course, in Christ, according to the Word, and receive our reward.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, We all know that life brings many challenges. Striving to finish the course requires us to remain steadfast in Your Word and live accordingly. May we succeed, like Paul, by finishing the course in faith, using Your Word as our guide and receiving our eternal reward;  being with You in Heaven.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
