Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Matthew 5:24 KJV
It is human nature to try to come up with the right excuse.
One that makes us feel okay for the wrong we have done.
No matter the situation, if we have done any harm to anyone else and fail to make things right, it is a sin.
Christ has told us that when we try to keep our sins a secret, we will still be called into judgement for them.
Matthew 5:24 tells us that God wants us to confess any wrongs we have done to each other.
These wrongs can be in words or because of something we have done.
We are to humble ourselves and go to that person, apologizing for our actions.
To go back and correct anything we tried to keep secret.
That we should do this as quickly as possible because until we have, we are not in a position for communion with Him.
There is a judgement-seat we all will sit in one day.
So, we all need to make amends for our wrong doings now, because after death it will be too late.
Through faith, we will have the courage to make right what was wrong.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, help us to find the courage to admit our wrongs. Without delay, to go to those, we have wronged and make things right. We know this is the only way to acknowledge our faith and have the right communion with You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
