Believer’s Greatest Oxygen – A Devoted Life of Unceasing Praise

Today’s Reading: Psalms 150

Today’s Verse: “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalms 150:6 KJV

We know that praise and worship go hand in hand.

Praise is the joyful outward expression of gratitude. Our “Thank You” to God for all that He has done. But our worship goes even deeper. It is our heartfelt surrender to God for who He is. Our way of showing admiration for all that He is done and is doing in our lives.

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalms 150:6 KJV.

This is the final verse of the Book of Psalms. It is a powerful, sweeping conclusion to the entire collection of hymns.

It is an universal call for every living, breathing creature in all creation to praise and worship God. We are to give Him honor.

Every breath we take should be seen as a gift from God. This makes life itself an act of praise.

Praising God is not just a Sunday activity. It is something we must do daily. It should be our ultimate purpose. A natural response for all of us.

This final verse is filled with loud musical instruments. The closing “Praise ye the LORD” acts as the joyful, energetic cry to a life of worship.

No man knows the day, nor the hour of His return. We do not know when we will breathe our last breath. While we have breath let us praise the Lord. Then we shall breathe our last with comfort.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we are stirred up to give You praise. We praise You for sanctuary. For all the privileges we enjoy. We know it is because of Your power and glory. The works of Your holiness and love are in our redemption. We give praise to You for it. Let us continue to have universal respect to all Your commands. Praising You with humble and cheerful submission. Rejoicing in Your love. Finding comfort in Your goodness. We want to be the one who tells of the kingdom of Your grace. We sing praises to Your name.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
