Today’s Reading: Psalms 23
Today’s Verse: “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalms 23:3 KJV
To restore something means to bring it back to its original condition. It could be returning it to a former owner. It could be reestablishing a system or quality.
It involves repair, rejuvenation, or reinstating.
Life and sin can cause us to wander. To lose our way.
The Lord always desires to restore us. He does it out of His continuous, unending grace. He provides it whether we have backslidden. Even when we feel the weight of the world.
The Lord is our Shepherd. He has everything we need.
When we need restoration, He is there. He has the means to return and bring us back. To refresh our spirits. Making a way every time we lose our way.
He is the Shepherd that picks us up when we are weary, wandering sheep. He revives us when our spirits are exhausted. When we are grieving. When we feel like we are running on empty.
The Lord does not stop there. He guides us into righteousness and living a healthy life. His ways are always proven right. They always set an example of love, sacrifice, and truth.
We have the Lord’s guaranteed protection.
The success of our journey shows His goodness and glory. That He is deeply invested in our safety and success.
When we stray, He will bring us back to Himself. Not because we deserve it, but to protect the integrity of His name.
May er never forget this never-ending promise.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalms 23:6 KJV
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we are thankful that Your goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, That You are always by our side. We praise You for Your wonderful Words of comfort. Your promise that nothing can take us out of Your hand. Thank You that no matter what we do, You will restore us. That You will lead us along life’s path for the honor of Your name. Keep us dear Lord from wandering far from You. Let all we do, from this day forward, be to Your honor and glory.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
