Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. John 20:21 KJV
All around us are people who need to be encouraged with the comfort that only God can give.
He has allowed us to go through many things so that we could be living testimonies of how we made it through with His love and guidance.
He brings us the peace we need in our times of trouble.
Peace is available to all of us.
It is ours for the asking.
The disciples were still mourning the death of the Savior, when Mary Magdalene approached then and told them that she had seen Him (v.18).
They had assembled behind closed doors in fear of the Jews when “came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you” (V. 19).
They were shocked and the Lord had to show them His hands and side to help them believe it was Him. Then they were glad (v.20).
“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you” (v.21).
It is a comfort to know that when believers assemble that no doors or fears can keep the Lord from being present.
Through His Spirit, He manifests His love for us. Assuring us that because He lives, we shall live also.
The more we look and see the Lord the more our hearts will rejoice.
As disciples of the Kingdom, we should never forget that there are others around us that need to be encouraged with the comfort that only God can give.
They believe more when we testify of the peace He has brought to our lives.
He desires that we reach out to them with compassion and share with them the same love that He has shared with us.
Someone may cross our paths today that needs a Word that will bring them peace.
Let us be like Jesus and say, “Peace be unto you” (v.19, 21).
It is a blessing to know that God’s love and kindness will meet our deepest need and bring peace.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we bless Your name. You are the God of mercies and comfort. You are always there to comfort us in our times of trouble. You bring us peace. There is no one that can do things the way You do. Help us to be more like You. To be a comfort to others with the same love and kindness You have shown us. Thank You for all You have done and are doing in our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
