By Grace We Are Saved

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) Ephesians 2:4, 5 KJV

We receive grace through our faith.

We are not saved by obeying a list of do’s and don’ts as man sees it, but by grace through our faith in Christ and the Word.

Sin is the death of the soul. A man who is dead in sins has no desire for spiritual pleasures.

But when we look at things according to the Word, we are affected by the thought of having a dead soul, a lost, or fallen spirit.

This awareness brings about a desire to change our ways of thinking and living.

We go from being children of wrath, to children of God and heirs of glory!

God’s eternal love and good-will towards us is the fountain from whence all His mercies flow.

A love that is a great love and a mercy that is a rich mercy.

It is great to know that every converted sinner is a saved sinner; delivered from sin and wrath.

That the grace that saves us is the free, undeserved goodness and favor of God.

Saving us not by the works of the law, but through our faith in Christ Jesus.

A regenerated sinner becomes a living soul.

A happy change, a new life, that only Divine Grace can make in us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, Let us check ourselves and see if our hopes are fixed on You, according to the Word. If we have devoted ourselves as holy temples to God through You. Making sure we don’t do anything that is not of You, but only those things that glorify You.  Thank You for the graces and mercies You bestow on us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
