We can look at Abraham and his descendants, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, the Israelites, Rahab, and other Old Testament believers, and see how Faith changes things.
Faith has always been the mark of God’s servants, from the beginning of the world and even now.
A true believer is desirous, not only to be in covenant with God, but to be in communion with the people of God.
To be willing to perform in a specified way in a particular situation or over a particular period of time.
There is so much to learn and just like Joshua, we will be scared but our Faith will carry us through.
Because he followed God’s instructions and kept the Faith, the walls of Jericho fell down and they received the land they were promised.
We are often called to leave worldly connections, interests, and comforts.
And even though we may not know what lies ahead, we shall obey and press on.
Knowing that because we are found doing His will, we can look forward to all that God has promised us.
All because of our Faith.
A WORD OF PRAYER
God we know You have and will continue to provide for us. We just have to keep the Faith and live according to the Word. Let us remember how many have already gone before us and all the blessings You bestowed on them. You are the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. Let us continue to pray for the increase of our faith, that we may follow these inspiring examples, and be with them one day, in holiness and happiness. All of us in Your Heavenly Kingdom.
