But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV
Before we had GPS systems or cell phones that could talk and guide us when we were traveling, we had maps.
It wasn’t hard for us to get lost, or make a wrong turn, because we didn’t have the ability to truly look at the map and drive too.
Someone may have been with us, but by mistake, read the map incorrectly.
We end up going in the wrong direction or missing the turn we needed to make.
We then had to turn around and head back in the right direction.
The same holds true in our Spiritual lives.
We take wrong turns and become unable to find our way.
We become lost and confused.
Sin tries to take over and lead us even further in the wrong direction.
It is good to know that despite us getting lost, God commanded His love towards us, and that while we were in our sinful, lost state, Christ died for our redemption (v.8).
This showing of love, by Jesus, and our faith in Him allows us to be freed from our sins.
Opening up the way for us to have a better relationship with God and lead the life He desires for us.
God’s leading and forgiveness, gives us the strength we need to let go of the past and walk forward with Him.
Allowing to love and forgive others as He did for us.
No longer letting sin be our guide.
Finding ourselves in a wonderful place of grace and love.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know we have times when we think we know what direction to take and wind up lost. May we humble ourselves and realize that You are the only one who truly knows the roads we should take. That even in our sinful state You sent the Savior to die for us. You have never failed to show us how much You love and care about us. Thank You for all You are doing and will do in our lives.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
