Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Job 37:14 KJV
It is amazing to watch educational shows that help us to learn about the things we can’t see just by looking at them.
Scientist would be looking through a microscope and showing us the pictures and explaining what we were looking at.
It would be so interesting.
I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that God had created all the details seen in so many things.
So many, we could never count them all.
In today’s reading, Job’s friend, Elihu is observing the power of God.
He is pointing out what he has learned to Job because he sees him struggling through his loss.
Challenging him to “stand still, and consider the wonderous works of God” (Job 37:14).
Asking him questions like, “Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine? Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?” (vv. 15-16).
Making Job take the time to realize what God was really doing in his life.
What He is doing in all our lives.
There is so much for us to still see In our life’s journey.
We, as humans, cannot begin to really understand how God did all the things we see.
How He is doing so much in our lives.
But the more we see God’s work and think about them, we begin to completely change how we see our lives and what He is doing for us.
Even the best of men can find themselves in the dark when it comes to the glorious perfections of the Divine nature of God.
That He has a Divine government in place. One that is made for the benefit of all mankind.
His glory and power surrounds us, no matter what we are going through.
He is working on our behalf, even when we can’t see it and don’t understand.
Remembering that “God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend” (Job 37:5).
He speaks into existence that which is good for the earth and all mankind.
He is the Great Creator.
Always showing us what He can do.
Always working on our behalf.
Let us continue to give Him praise for all the He has done and will do in our lives.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, You have put so much details in what You have created. It is amazing how You are still at work making it possible for us to realize how great a Creator You are. We give You praise for all the wonders and miracles that You have already performed. Ones that we have seen and will be discovering in the future. We know You are always working on our behalf. Thank You Father for caring so much about us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
