For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16 KJV
It is a daily routine for us to look at our phones and see if they need to be plugged up; to be recharged.
We even look at them to see if there is a reason to replace it or upgrade.
There have even been times when the power goes out because of a storm.
There is nothing we can do except wait for it to be restored.
The same holds true for our Spiritual lives.
We are constantly looking at our situations and know we need a charge from the Lord.
That even though we are weak, we can go to Him for an instant recharge.
Our inward man can be recharged daily if we stay in close fellowship with God through prayer.
Even though we want it quickly, it might take us sitting back for a while.
But we know that a recharge is happening.
We can feel it in our spirit that He is working on us.
Recharge allows us to be restored in the energy of the Spirit.
We need to do this in our Spiritual lives all the time.
If we keep going on our own, we will run out of energy.
Leaving us with nothing to praise the Lord.
The outward man may get old and perish.
But our Spirit is renewed day by day and lives on in eternity.
It is the power of God and not of ourselves (2 Corinthians 4:7) that will keep us fully charged.
Reading and obeying His Word.
When we have God as our power source, we never have to worry about running out of energy.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that we can go forth each day a little stronger. All because we get a fresh supply of grace. A recharge that comes from our seeking You and living according to the Word. It’s a blessing to know we can get it no matter where we are. Thank You Father.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
