There are many things that fill us with wonder or great surprise.
One is to see the many ways that the Lord has control over any situation we may find ourselves in.
That is why it is of great comfort to reflect on the fact that we have a Savior in whom we can trust in and pray to.
One who knows what it is to be on the water, and to be in storms.
Great storms of doubt and fear in the soul.
Finding ourselves under the power of the spirit of bondage.
We just need to ask the Spirit to lead us where our trust is without borders.
Even the disciples came to Him in their times of fear.
The Lord’s response took them by surprise because they had never seen a storm turned so quickly into a perfect calm.
We are not to let our emotions hit us like the waves of a raging sea.
The Lord is our Fountain of Abundance, forever watching over us.
Giving us the ability to ask Him to quiet our restless hearts.
Keeping us calm and still.
Knowing that when the oceans rise against us, our souls can rest in His embrace.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, sometimes we let our emotions put us in the waves of a turbulent sea. So much so that we feel like we are sinking and about to go under. Those are times we must remember we can walk on the water, because You are there to lead us. Help us to keep the faith and grown even stronger in You. Not fearing a shipwreck with You at the helm.
