Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Galatians 3:3 KJV
There have been times when we have bought an item and it included the instructions to operate it.
We start off reading them but because we feel we could do things on our own, we stop following them.
Low and behold, it didn’t work, and we got frustrated.
When we went back and looked at the directions, we find that we missed a step and that is why it didn’t work.
A foolish mistake on our part.
The same holds true when we know what the Lord has told us, and we still try to do things our way.
We let flesh take over.
When we try to do things to make life work on our terms and on our schedule only leads to frustration and spiritual exhaustion.
Within all believers, the Spirit can be silent while we are living this way.
The blessing is in knowing His presence is still real and powerful.
We just have to put our trust back in Him.
Being wise in the Spirit and not foolish in the flesh.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know without the power of Your Spirit we can accomplish nothing. Let us not be so quick to forget this. Renew us today in Your strength and Your ways. Selah.
