There comes a time when we all have to look at all that is around us.
To decide what should stay and what should go.
That’s when we have to set some goals.
We may complain about it and others may try to give some input that may help or may hinder.
The bottom line is, we have to make the final decision on how we will accomplish them.
Once the decision is made, we have to be constant and persevere.
There will be no room for second-guessing or constantly changing our minds.
The persevering obedience of faith in Christ, was the race set before the Hebrews.
We are soldiers of Christ, just like the Hebrews.
As soldiers, it is our responsibility to rid ourselves of anything that will hinder us in any battle that we face.
Especially the battle with our spiritual enemy.
To win the battle, we must “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us.”
Anything that will keep us from doing things the Lord’s way.
Our weights can come in many forms.
Be it an overwhelming desire for having things, the love of money or a slavery to sinful passions.
We all have to determine which way we will go.
If we are to fight the good fight of faith and run the spiritual race with endurance, we must get rid of all our weights.
Gaining the Wisdom the Lord desires us to have.
Knowing that the decisions we make, will either win us the crown of glory, or have us living a life of everlasting misery.
Choose to put on the right gear and lay aside every weight.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, life is full of battles. When we fight it with Faith, we know we will win. Thank You for giving us the strength to endure.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
