The scenes in many movies we watch includes a plot to have someone murdered.
The murder can be one that is put together by more than one person.
The initial plot is to take out one victim but they end up taking more lives in order to cover up the original crime.
That is what happened when religious authorities got together and made a plan to crucify the Lord.
This passage shows the madness that is in man’s heart when they seek to do harm to someone else.
The plot thickens.
That’s when sin showed it’s ugly head.
Sin pushes us down a road that has a potential to have no end in sight.
When we give sin room, it can take over our lives.
The religious leaders didn’t realize it but their conspiracy would help bring about the redemption of mankind.
What they conspired to do backfired.
Jesus saved us.
He saved us from sin’s vicious grip by dying on the Cross.
There is nothing that anyone can do to us.
All we have to do is take the time to receive the freedom the Lord offers.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, even though the religious authorities planned Your death, it was working for our good. When we are going down the wrong road, we can come to You for freedom from the sins we face. Thank You for saving us.
